In the previous post I mentioned that Paul Simon was present in a Dutch TV programm called ‘Studio Stalles’. This show was broadcasted on January 21st in 1966. In that show there was also a group called Mudfield. Mudfield , folk and skiffle-band, have their own site which mentions that pressence during the same show. On the page History 1 it is also mentioned that during the recording break the group jammed with another guitar-player: Paul Simon.
Here you can see Paul Simon during the recording for ‘Studio Stalles’:
The above picture was also found on the Mudfield-site!
The recordings for this show took place in Studio Bellevue, in Amsterdam.
Paul Simon sang two of his songs:
– I am a rock
– A church is burning
When Paul arrive on Schiphol Airport – near Amsterddam – he was greeted by two representatives of Dutch record company Artone / CBS:
He was interviewed too for a Dutch magazine by Harry Knipschild. In this interview Paul tells about how he loves the pure folk music and how furious he is that in the US his 6 months old version of ‘The sound of silence’ has been filled with electric instruments and the voice of Art Garfunkel (sic!) and now is become a hit against his wishes.
In De Waag in Haarlem he did a free concert, of which a picture has been found too:

This bootleg recording includes four tracks recorded for the BBC in January 1965 http://bigozine2.com/roio/?p=3209
One might hope that the BBC will broadcast the complete recordings without the program-host-chatter in between.
