1965: Paul Simon in Denmark and Sweden

It was a well known fact that Paul Simon played in Kopenhagen at the end of 1965. But for me the exact information where was unknown. But today Ole Holmgaard sent us the long awaited information: Paul played at the Paramount Club in Copenhagen on November 13 in 1965 and we are able to show you the advertisement (see on the left). Stig and Paul also played together in London’s  ‘Les Cousins’ But not only did he visit Denmark, he also visited Sweden. It was there probably where he met Swedis folksinger Stig  Moller and recorded – also in  November 1965 – a song with Stig. Paul Simon played accompanying guitar on the song Min By (My Town). You can listen to it on Youtube. Paul also toured with a folk group named ‘Cy, Maia & Robert’ and also played some gigs in the mainland off Denmark, called Jutland, with them. Ole Holgaard is doing research on the singer Stig Moller. If any of you has any information about Stig Moller, please let me know and I will forward it to Ole.
