– The Bitter End (possibly ?)
– Café Wha
– Gerde’s Folk City
There’s a poster – also for sale on Ebay – that mentions S&G performing in Folk City during February 16-28
in 1964 (as Columbia Records is mentioned) or was it 1965?
In his book about his Bitter End, he mentions (on pages 16-17) that he and Billy Fields went to see Simon & Garfunkel, who were playing “on the corner of Bleecker and Sullivan streets“.
If there’s anyone out there who could confirm these performances or shed a light that would be great.
Simon & Garfunkel could also have been billed as “Kane & Garr” or “Landis & Garr”.
