In a local newspaper I found two entries for the Radio today section. On two separate days, Simon & Garfunkel were featured. Most like to promote ‘Wednesday Morning 3 AM’. It was for the KLSN (Texas) radio Station:

Founs these two early 1966 reviews in Billboard Magazine. The magazine is most of all interested in sales of records (after or during concerts) but als lets us know how many attended the show. Already during the those early concerts on the campus drew a lot of people.

Art Garfunkel did not tour that much in the early 70’s. He did not go on tour when his album ‘Angel Clare’was released. But that changed when the follow-up was released, ‘Watermark’. A beautiful Jimmy Webb album.
Most of the spring tour were done with singer Dan Hill.
The itinerary from the advertisment in Billboard sometimes has different dates that some ticketstubs make us believe that shows were really done. Could be that some had to be re-scheduled.

‘What’s in a name?’ one could ask or say. But when it comes down to finding new Simon & Garfunkel, spelling the name wrongly helped! Often Arts name had been misspelled in newspapers or even in advertisements for concerts as Garfunkle.
The misstyping of his name brings a couple of new concerts:
1966-03-30 Ithaca College Gymnasium
1966-05-01 University of Massachussetss, Boston, UBM / The Armory (during Spring Weekend)
1967-01-13 Binghampot, Bimghampton University, Harpur College
1967/1968 a concert at University of Missouri, Kansas City (UMKC) is being prepared
and even corrections:
1967-11-17 – San José, Civic Auditorium
One of the earlier shows of Simon & Garfunkel in the United States was the on March 12th 1966. As part of the Carnival Festival the duo was billed together with Jonny & The Hurricanes in the Marquette Gymnasium:
The Forest Hills Festival was run over more days in a row. In 1966 Simon & Garfunkel were already part of this festival too, together with The Mama’s & Papa’s:

In 1967 they would be playing the Festival again:
And in January of 1968 they would fill New York’s Carnegie Hall as headliners:
Most of these items were sold or offered on eBay recently.

Some of the shows were filmed too, like the May 6th show in NYC’s Webster Hall and the iTunes-Festival on July 1st. Many concert-goers als filmed parts of the shows and were put on YouTube, grab them while you see a chance.
