44 years ago today

While we couldn’t get tickets anymore for his Amsterdam concert, friends and me went to Belgium’s Brussel. We saw an amazing show of the One-trick Pony tour. With a great backing band (with 4 horn players during “Have a good time” and “Late in the evening”). Paul Simon went through all the hits and his new album “One-trick Pony”. When the show was over he came back on stage and jumped on Richard Tee’s electric piano and thanked us all.

And exactly today, 44 years later, I received this poster of the show of November 2nd 1980.

1965: 2 new dates added

Recently I was able to add 2 new dates in 1965 to the llst.

1965-00-00 Isleworth, Borough Road College
1965-00-00 Coggeshall (near Essex) played here often in a pub

The info from Facebook was put there by the person who booked Paul Simon and drove him to the tube after the gig:
I put Paul Simon on in West London in 1965 . Great show. Ran him to Isleworth tube after the gig. Paid him £12.00.” The gig was at the Borough Road Collge in Isleworth.
Another Facebook-reader mentioned seeing paul Simon perform often in a pub in Coggeshall.
