As part of the Record Store Day – campaign Columbia issued this 7″-single by Simon & Garfunkel:

Both versions of Homeward Bound and Leaves That Are Green are MONO-versions

In Japan many Simon & Garfunkel records were released using the SX 68 system by Sony. I am not technician, but this is what it is about:
” CBS Sony built their cutting system with the Neumann SX-68 head and their own solid state amps and gave the logo “SX-68 Sound” to the record covers.
It was replaced later by SX 68 II and SX 74.
Here’s a release in this series using SX 68 Sound:

SONX 60195 Simon & Garfunkel – Simon & Garfunkel’s Greatest Hits II SX68Sound

This one was released in 1972. But of course CBS Sony started releasing Simon & Garfunkel albums in 1968/1969. Here are two examples:

All albums come most of the time in so-called gatefold covers with lots of information (like recording dates). And the sound quality is indeed very good.
The Italy-based (?) Festival label used the same cover as SONX 60195 with that same title, but the tracks were not the same:

Not so long agao I was listening to the set Simon & Garfunkel played in 1972 in New York City at Madison Square Gardens.

They played on June 14th at the benefit show held for George McGovern’s campain to become America’s next president.
And now I found the advertisment for it “tucked away” in the cover of a Japanese 45rpm release:

With thanks to Joe McMichael we were happy to get the info in 2013 that Simon & Garfunkel appeared in Indiana, in the state of Pennsylvania.
The Red Rooster had just opened a couple of days earlier before the Simon & Garfunkel concert took place on December 26th.

And today JMPaull commented: We were visiting my family in Latrobe, PA, and my older cousin took me to the Simon & Garfunkel concert at the Red Rooster. It had just turned 14, and it was my first “live” concert. I had no idea who they were, or what was going on, but I do remember thinking that “The Sounds of Silence” sounded pretty cool.
It was Michael Bender who brought Simon & Garfunkel to recently opened Red Rooster, late 1965. In an article of 2017. when Bender had passed away recently, his friend Greg Flave mentions the fact and states that it was probably the most famous band he had booked. As we can see there were more bands of fame being booked like The Cooasters, The Isley Brothers and singer Lou Christy.

Right now a poster for sale on eBay for this event:

The concert started at the end of the 2nd of May and ran into early hours of the 3rd. As mentioned on the poster “No Television”, luckily it was recorded for Dutch radio and broadcasted 2 weeks later by VARA Radio.
There was a lot of discussion about the prices of tickets…the poster is now for sale for 1250US$.
According to this advertisement in CashBox:

Paul and Art were playing a week long at the Riverboat Coffee House in Canada’s Toronto,
A bit confusing is the fact that they also played a show on March 30th at Ithaca College Gynasium, which is in the New York State in the USA.
