  1. I met Paul simon at a cafe called The Green Moose he had agig booked and didn’t know how to get there so I was asked to go with him and his friend (Garfunkel?) Who was dressed in a long black coat and hat , he had long curly hair . he didn’t have a musical instrument .I don’t think he was carrying sleeping bags and a little luggage . Paul had a guitar .I have forgotten the name of the venue . it had a wooden stage in the corner by windows Paul sat on a stool on the stage I sat at the corner of the stage .The owner of the venue let us sleep in his storeroom that night surrounded by beer crates ect we were given free cokes to drink .I didn’t have a sleeping bag Paul let me share his we slept fully clothed he was a perfect gentleman , next day we went to the station Paul gave me his phone number in New York which sadly I lost x we kissed goodbye x I often wondered if Paul remembered that time .
