End of a tour

It would have been easy to write “end of an era”, but no. With his show at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, Paul Simon ended his international touring career.

And now the “Homeward Bound – Farewell Tour” is finished.

I think, I am sure, that those who attended a show these last months have seen a great artist. Paul Simon the driving force with great musicians around him.

When his recent cd was released earlier this month, a Dutch magazine wrote that Paul Simon not just stopped with performing, but was also finished writing. Well I can’t and will not believe that. Paul will surely surprise with many beautiful songs in the near future.

My first show was in Brussels, during the One-trick Pony tour, which was a tremendous show and now on July 7th this year in Amsterdam. Some 38 years of joy! Thank you Paul (and all those who came with you to The Netherlands) for great music.

  1. sincerely I wish Paul Simon did not close with the career, if he’s tired of composing songs, he has written so many that his audience just listen to those. Though Paul Simon is a man who does love, as well as for the artist, for the beauty of his person, why you do not want to separate yourself from him.
