‘Watch Paul Simon Perform “Kodachrome” and More with Chris Thile on ‘Live From Here’

On the four published vids of this show te text between these vids is not to be heard

I will give all the words spoken during this broadcast to you by this way:

After rescheduling his performance due to illness, Paul Simon made an appearance on Chris Thile’s Live From Here radio program on Nov. 23, performing four songs with the house band, including his hit “Kodachrome.
”“I count myself exceedingly lucky to have been able to work with our next guest quite a bit, to the point where I forget to be awestruck and instead remember how much I love playing extraordinary music with an extraordinary musician,”
Thile said to the crowd around the show’s 60-minute mark, before welcoming Simon.

After a quick embrace with Thile on stage,Paul Simon cracked a joke, noting how he got a partial standing ovation.
“Thank you, thank you. I noticed not all of you stood. I don’t care, I’m not into ego or anything,” before gesturing to a random audience member, “but you in particular…” pointing out with his finger to someone present in the public (guess the amount of visisors
    was about 2,000).

Note fro my side: some Paul Simon fans are not familar with this kind of humor made by
    Paul Simon.

Thile then backed Simon on “Questions for the Angels,” off Simon’s 2011 LP So Beautiful or So What.

The opening lyrics, “A pilgrim on a pilgrimage/ Walked across the Brooklyn Bridge,” nodded to both the impending Thanksgiving holiday as well as the show’s locale in New York City’s Town Hall.
Afterwards, Simon offered the live debut of There Goes Rhymin’ Simon cut “St. Judy’s Comet,” noting how it was written for his son Harper.Later,

Simon took the stage again, to perform “American Tune” and a closing version of “Kodachrome.”

Unfortunately the hilarious text to the second introduction to this show made by Chris Thile
ihas not been given in this text. I succeeded in downloading this entire tape and having the text for you.

This is what Paul Simon spoke to Chris Thile when he went on the stage for the second time.

It is a pity the grimm after making this remark to Chris Thile (who – of course – is far more younger than Paul Simon is) of Paul Simon is not to be seen.
But being on an age of 67 years now I really can understand and appericiate this kind of statement made by Paul Simon:

“Chris Thile (enthusiastly) and – at the same time being amazed – when Paul Simon was prepairing his (ELECTRIC) acoustic guitar ( the wonderfull black one):

“OH RIGHT. You`ve got to PLUG in?”

This was the answer of THE LEGEND:
“You don`t have TO POINT OUT tO EVERYONE here (in the meantime you are hearing the sound of putting the hand of Paul Simon the plug into this guitar) by continuing saying:
“I was doing THIS in such a way of PLUGGING IN I – maybe – ALL AGAIN”.
